Third Nova Generator

The Third Nova Generator, activated in 5282, ran on the true power of the White Flower Dreaming. The two people who saw the Generator in action have described it as “a whirling ball of my worst nightmares, my most hated feelings, and the place where true good goes to die” and “I have never seen such a device bent on pure destruction, pure consumption, and pure devilish invention in my life. I hope never to see anything like it ever again.” It replaced the defunct Second Nova Generator, which was constructed with the same design but without the necessary power source, by providing near-limitless energy in a unique and impossible-to-recreate way: it converted anger to yylimium by funneling it through the White Flower Dreaming and into what is now known to be the dormant Nova Entity.

Each individual component of the Generator was essential to its usefulness; the White Flower Dreaming consumed the incoming brain waves, and inside the reactor core, the Nova Entity fashioned the now peaceful, calm electromagnetic waves into Dust Men, causing small amounts of yylimium to surface and be blown out to a mining facility nearby. The designers of the Generator refused to a man to explain how it managed to grab such waves from across the galaxy or how they figured out that the White Flower Dreaming would allow such energy to be created, and their secret died with them when the Generator blew up. It is known, however, that the Rayechton Group, Nova Generation division, deliberately fueled warfare everywhere they could in order to power the Generator.

It is known now that Logomere had nothing to do with its destruction, and his baseless claims were merely a distraction. Similarly, Ven’rom’es could not have engineered the explosion, as it did not exist at that particular moment. The Rayechton Group, on the other hand, managed to transform their false claim into massive commercial success in their kriegball facilitation business; their sister company’s Nova Generation business suffered as a result, but given the interdepartmental rivalries, this was expected. Little is known about the true destructors other than their enigmatic and unpronouncable name: Yyyxyy.

The destruction of the Third Nova Generator brought to an end much of the faith in the Gar’tor’at Prophecy, since the prophecy clearly stated that it was supposed to last until its peaceful retirement with the onset of the fourth nova generator in 5311. The Church could not retroactively change its destruction, as the Nova Entity had already been released, and the great religion had fallen at last.
