Valter Qlondike

Physicist, project director, and unofficial “father of the Cleft”, Valter !londike was born in 5250 to a prominent Zeiral family. At the age of 15 the precocious Valter traveled to Miakovos to study propulsion physics. (At the immigration desk he changed his surname to the more euphonious Qlondike.) His studies of temporal gradient generators were well-received, although his monogram on the Gar’tor’at Prophecy’s achronic potential well was generally greeted with befuddlement by believers and skeptics alike. After the destruction of the Third Nova Generator, the relevance of his work was more clearly understood, and the Conclave of Mek’ril recalled him to develop new military applications of his theories.

Out of favor after the Council purges, and dogged by rumors of Ctjn sympathies, Qlondike spent his remaining years traveling and spreading Eudaemonism; Wee Joo became a disciple, lending the Uniform Platform a Eudaemonist flavor (though for Wee Joo, no organism could flourish until all did). In 5392, the Conclave posthumously declared Qlondike a Megalothumos, the highest honor a Eudaemonist can attain.
