The Ascacian Wastes cover the majority of the Southeast portion of the major continent on Viridia Prime. The inhabitants mostly live in forts around the entry points of Subsurface Pathways. Outside of these military installations, there are several nomadic tribes collectively known as the The Sixteen.

Plant life in the Ascacian Wastes is minimal, and usually toxic to anyone who would consume it. It is unclear whether or not this has always been the case, and experiments to grow the plants outside the wastes has been a complete failure.

Excavations in the wastes have exposed significant fossil records indicating a healthy population of animals, and chemical compositions indicate that the wastes may have once been a dense forest. It is unknown whether or not The Sixteen have lived in the area since that time, and the tribe elders refuse to speak of the tribe’s past to outsiders.
