The Ascacian You (not to be confused with the New Hjarthian You or the Santrangian You) were a psychosymbiotic race primarily localized to the wastes of Viridia Prime.

The instinctual habit of exogenic Reconciliation peculiar to the Ascacian You was long considered an effective defense mechanism for the “species”, before the Subsurface Pathways of Viridia were fully mapped, and thus the origin of the You made clear. The You were not originally, as long believed, an evolutionary offshoot of the Xoulic folk, but in fact a different, pseudoreptilian species, now extinct. Inevitably, some centuries before human civilization on Viridia, progressive hypostatic drift through successive reconciliations transferred the collective memory and culture of the You onto unrelated genetic stock.

Members of the Menagerie of You (so-called colloquially for the large number of species which have found their way to the You over the centuries) never venture far from their homeland, deep in the Wastes. Given the difficulty of direct study of the You, it is unknown whether their fascination with this area is related to the presence of a particularly extensive Ul-Tiar beneath their preferred haunts.

The You essentially ceased to exist upon the waking of the Nova Entity, for obvious reasons.
