Ven'rom'es

In an infinite universe, all propaganda is true.
–Attributed to Jason Ironheart (apocryphal)

The history of Ven'rom'es is an object lesson in the dangers of memetic warfare. Named after the Intoan concept of of the sanctity of bloodshed, the Ven'rom'es ideology, and its fictional charismatic leader were designed to be as appealing as possible while committing enough atrocities to inspire general revulsion. Thus, the Love Junta officials who created it intended, it would capture the public's attention and imagination, forever tainting the romantic ideals of revolution with the fundamental baseness of their beliefs and actions.

To this day, it remains unclear whether the imitators who took up the Ven'rom'es narrative after it was abandoned by government forces had realized the true nature of the movement, and were merely turning the government's techniques against it, or if a preexisting entity chose to mask its own actions behind the well-known face of Jerimoth. At this late remove, it is impossible even to tell the degree to which the hijacked movement instigated real attacks, as, due to a breakdown in bureaucratic communications, the diligent agents of the Junta's historical revision corps did not cease its work providing corroborating evidence of Ven'rom'es claims until several years after it assumed autonomy.
