Duneel Fiorsite

Born: 5314 s.y.v.p.
Died: 5386 s.y.v.p.

Leading fashion icon and figurehead of the Children of the Urgency. Duneel Fiorsite first gained attention for the handcrafted clothes she designed for her children. This pedestrian act led to the Hands Alive social movement. Ultimately, she became an important maternal figure and Viridia’s state couturier.

In a time of confusion and doubt, Fiorsite’s practical solutions represented structure and progress. When her husband died, the Orsindian community came to the aide of Fiorsite and her three children. Thus, the tragedy became a launch pad for Fiorsite, and her product and influence continued to grow.

Fiorsite never socialized with Viridia’s affluent and powerful, but she formed her own salon of sorts in her home. Reading was one of her pastimes, and both Voron Belthaszar and Elgani Bariarch shaped her philosophies though she agreed and disagreed with both of them. Fiorsite advocated moderation for society. Historically, Viridia was pushed toward individuality or unity, and Fiorsite used neutral clothing with modular designs to instill these values into the populace. She wanted Viridians to see the familiar and the unexpected in their neighbors. Her Uniform Platform was adopted in 5357 s.y.v.p.
