Tokyo has nothing amounting to a Central Park—that would violate the whole “let’s draw random lines on a map” spirit of the city—but Ueno Park comes close. It’s fairly large, and popular, and has museums and such. I think I ended up there three times: the first time, we saw a couple shrines, and frighteningly many pigeons. In some parts of the park the ground is sort of a sea of pigeons, filling the air with a non-directional cooing sound. The second time I was there to visit the National Museum. Finally, we just hung out there to get one last look at Tokyo before flying home; that time, we ended up watching a rather alarmingly talented juggler who could balance glasses of water on spinning umbrellas.
